The Samsung SCH-A970 is a nice, all-silver flip phone that features a swivel screen that can be rotated 360 degrees. The SCH-A970 also has plenty of external features to access components of your phone without you even having to open the phone itself.
The rotating flap on the Samsung SCH-A970 mobile phone allows for full use of the phone’s 2.0 megapixel camera – to allow you to get a perfect shot all the time. The cell phone also allows for awesome picture viewing and video-watching on its large 262K-color TFT internal screen with 176 X 220 resolution. The interior of the phone is beautiful – with a large, roomy keypad for easy and comfortable dialing.
Equally as impressive is the exterior of the SCH-A970 – supporting MP3 technology, you can activate the MP3 player from the front flap. The handy audio playback controls are located just below the external display screen. Without even opening the phone, you can activate the MP3 player to hear songs and play them – using either headphones or the SCH-A970’s external stereo speakers. You can rotate the flap whichever way to want to aim the speakers in any direction. This feature is also convenient for speakerphone use and hands free conversations in a conference or group call setting.
The SCH-A970 also features Bluetooth technology for hands free phone use while talking or accessing your phonebook. Voice recognition is also featured on the SCH-A970.
The standard battery life lasts up to 210 minutes during talk time and 200 hours on standby. An additional longer-lasting battery can also be purchased for 333 minutes of talk time and up to 350 hours during standby.
Weighing 5.07 oz and sitting at 1.87” X 3.7”, the Samsung SCH-A970 is a hefty yet durable cellular handset that contains all the features you look for in a cell phone/digital camera/MP3 player.
