The Palm Treo 700w, Palm’s first Windows Mobile-based Treo is now on sale. The phone is currently only available for customers of the Verizon Wireless phone service.
The Treo700w utilizes the Windows Mobile 5 operating system and has a 1.3-megapixel camera and 128mb internal memory and built-in bluetooth.
Treo 700p smartphone users can take advantage of EV-DO broadband download speeds on their laptops by using it as a wireless modem via USB or Bluetooth wireless technology, eliminating the need to purchase Wi-Fi or other connectivity services at coffee shops, airports and hotels.
In addition, the Treo 700p smartphone also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera and camcorder, offering four times the resolution of a VGA camera. To help users organize and share their photos, the new product makes it significantly easier to create and manage photo and video albums. The Treo 700p includes Pocket Tunes for playing music files. Based on the Palm OS, the Treo 700p includes 128 MB of memory (60 MB user available).
